Prairie Dog State Park News
Due to the Thanksgiving Holiday, office hours for the week of November 24 will be the following:

The fishing dock has been removed for the winter due to structural damage and to prevent further damage from the ice. We are hoping to have it repaired by spring. This is contingent upon funding of the repairs.
As of 10-27-2014, all park facilities have been winterized. There is no water available in the park. The fish cleaning station and the shower houses have been closed for the winter. Electrical service is still available at the camp sites and the vault toilets will remain open. The modern cabins still have water as they have their own water supply. Please contact the office with any questions.
Cabin Renters--Please make sure to contact the park office at (785) 877-2953 within 48 hours of your arrival to obtain your key code.
Park office hours are now Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The office self-pay station has been updated with a new design and more information to assist in the proper payment and selection of a camp site.
There is NO HUNTING ALLOWED in the State Park. Please feel free to contact the office with any questions.
Prairie Dog State Park also has four cabins available. Cedar Crest and Cottonwood are primitive cabins (no water) while Prairie Dog and Eagle View are modern cabins with running water. Call for a reservation, or reserve a cabin on our website! All cabins have heating and air conditioning, a refrigerator and a microwave.
Please remember to always wear your life jacket when you're on the water, it could save your life. The current water elevation is 2288.10, or 16.20 feet below conservation pool.
