Nine managed Dove fields are located on the Perry Wildlife Area totaling approximately 90 acres. Six of the fields are mixed fields with wheat centers and sunflower borders, and three fields are sunflowers only.

Please be aware that all but one field is NON-TOXIC shot only and some fields are special hunts fields not open to the public September 1

  • There is also a refuge dove field that will not open to the public until September 6
  • Below each field is listed with a description and any special regulations that apply to that field.

Field #1 – Non-Toxic shot only. Refuge field closed to public until September 6

  • Located north of 190 street, 14 acres of sunflower/wheat.

Field #2 – Non-Toxic shot only. Located south of 190 street, 13 acres of sunflower/wheat.

Field #3 – Non-Toxic shot only. Special Hunts field only open to successful applicants on September 1

  • Open to public September 2
  • Located southwest of the corner of Finney and 186 street, 5 acres of sunflowers.

Field #4 - Non-Toxic shot only. Special Hunts field only open to successful applicants on September 1

  • Open to public September 2
  • Located northwest of the corner of Headwater and Cove road, 4 acres of sunflowers.

Field #5 - Non-Toxic shot only. Located east of Perry Wildlife Area Office at the end of 174 street, 8 acres of sunflowers/wheat.

Field #6 – Located east of Finney Rd. and south of the Perry Wildlife Area Office 20 acres of sunflowers/wheat.

Field #7 –Non-Toxic shot only.Located west of Harvey Rd. 4 acres of sunflowers.

Field #8 - Non-Toxic shot only.Youth and Mentor/Handicapped access field only. Each adult must be accompanied by an actively hunting youth to be hunting this field. Located west of Ferguson Road quarter mile north of 154th Street, 15 acres of sunflower/wheat.

Field #9 - Non-Toxic shot only. Special Hunts field only open to successful applicants on September 1

  • Open to public September 2
  • Located southeast of the corner of Edwards and 130 street, 5.5 acres of sunflower/wheat. 

Mandatory Hunter Survey Cards will be required during the first week of the Dove season and will be available in the Parking lots.
