Turkey Seasons

2013 SPRING TURKEY:

Regular (firearm/archery): April 10 - May 31, 2013
Archery-Only : April 1 - 9, 2013
Youth/Disabled : April 1 - 9, 2013
Shooting Hours: One-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Legal Equipment: long, recurve, or compound bows, crossbows and shotguns and muzzleloading shotguns using shot sizes 2 through 9.
Limit: Any individual who has purchased a spring turkey permit is eligible for one second turkey game tag. Spring game tags are valid for Units 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6.

2013 FALL TURKEY:

Archery/Shotgun : Oct. 1 - Dec. 3 and Dec. 16, 2013 - Jan. 31, 2014
Fall Turkey Permits in Units 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6 and game tags for Unit 2,3,5 and 6 may be purchased over the counter at any license vendor or online.
No permits authorized in Unit 4.
Shooting Hours: One-half hour before sunrise to sunset.
Legal Equipment: Shotguns and muzzleloading shotguns using shot sizes 2-9; long, recurve or compound bows and crossbows. Dogs may be used while hunting turkeys during the fall turkey season.
Limit:Fall turkey permits may be purchased over-the-counter or online, and are valid in all five open units. Any individual with a fall turkey permit may purchase as many as three turkey game tags valid only in Units 2, 3, 5 and 6. Turkey permits and turkey game tags may be purchased online at www.ksoutdoors.com or from all license agents through Jan. 30, 2013.
