SPECIES DESCRIPTION

The Cylindrical Papershell Mussel is currently known only from the Smoky Hill River. They may occur in the lower Republican and lower Solomon rivers. These mussels can occur in impoundments and streams and can utilize a wide range of substrates from silt to rubble. Fish hosts include common shiner, bluntnose minnow, and fathead minnow.
