STATE PARK RAIN CHECKS WILL BE ISSUED TO THOSE TURNED AWAY BECAUSE OF FLOODING

Anyone evacuated from or not allowed into a flooded Kansas state park can obtain a credit voucher for camping or reservation fees paid that can be used at any other Kansas state park as space allows. Persons affected should contact the originating state park for the credit voucher and a list of Kansas state parks with space available. Persons who had reservations at parks impacted by the recent flooding should contact that park for a “rain” check for camping at a later date or another park. Persons with special events scheduled at these parks should also contact that park. Park staff will do their best to accommodate all events, but some may have to be relocated to other parks or rescheduled on alternative dates.

The full extent of damage to grounds and facilities won't be known until the water recedes. But be assured, park staff will work dilegently to get parks back to full operation as quickly as possible. For contact numbers, click here.
