During construction most of the timber was left standing in the basin. Since the lake opening, many trees have fell over leaving stumps at or below the water level. However there is still large quantities of standing timber. This lake supports a great largemouth bass population and is primarily a boat lake as the shoreline access is limited. There are two boatramps and two floating docks to enhance angler success.

I had a angler report that on saturday, March 17th. catching 50-60 bass from a boat, caught along the shore in shallow water. Most were in around 15 inches.

Lets GO FISHING. Grab the kids, call a friend and go to the local lake. Reports from bass anglers indicate that most are caught away from the edge in deep water. The bass are in the trees down to 8 feet. Most are caught on jignpig style baits. The water level is great for fishing.

Recent fish population sampling indicates alot of very nice crappie, most in the 10 to 14 inch range and in very good condition. This lake has lots of cover and crappie are hard to find but when you do, there will be lots of good fish.
