General Comments |
|||
|
This is a generic winter fishing report covering the fishing forecast for the upcoming 2012 fishing season. Regular weekly fishing reports will resume in March 2012. KDWPT biologists are conducting a northern pike study at the lake. Be on the lookout for northern pike tagged with small, yellow tags (see picture) near the dorsal fin. If you catch a tagged pike, call Jeff at 620-459-6922. Pike up to 13 lb. were sampled this spring. White perch have been found in the lake, and they can become a fisheries management nightmare. If you catch a white perch, you must kill it; do not release it back into the water. Also, do not move fish from one body of water to another. To see what a white perch looks like, click HERE. |
