Species Rating Size Baits, Method, & Location
Bluegill Fair up to 1/2lb Sunfish can be most easily caught in the spring using a small bit of worm fished under a bobber. Small jigs and spinners can also be productive - but stay close to the shore line.
Largemouth Bass No Reports Up to 18 inches Largemouth Bass should begin spawning when the water temperatures reach 60 degrees this spring. When fishing for largemouth bass in the spring, try jigs, plastic baits, spinner baits, or crank baits fished around structures or along weed lines.
White Crappie Poor 8-12 inches Crappie tend to congregate in large schools in cooler water. Fish around brushpiles and creek channel dropoffs with small jigs or spoons.
Channel Catfish Fair 1 lb plus In the cooler weather months channel cat can be caught on a variety of baits such as livers, stinkbait, and shrimp. Drifting and fishing with shad sides or small, whole shad has proven to be very productive. If fishing from shore try off of jetties or near any rocky or woody areas.
