|Crappie||Fish around any brush or vegetation. Minnows, small slab spoons, or jigs should work.|

|Channel catfish||Try liver, shrimp, worms, or cut bait.|

2000 rainbow trout were stocked in Meade SFL for the start of the trout season. Meade Lake is a Type 2 water, meaning that a trout permit is required only for trout anglers.
The rest of this is a generic winter fishing report. Local fishing reports depend on information from local anglers themselves. This site will be updated if a hot report is sent in. Regular weekly fishing reports will resume in April 2015.

Please discard of leftover bait in a trash can, even baitfish. Remember it is illegal to release any fish into public water unless it was taken from that water!
