Fishing Report - Last Update: 4/9/2015

Species Rating Size Baits, Method, & Location
Largemouth bass No report   Try jigs and finesse plastics in the afternoon.
Walleye No report   Try jigs tipped with worms, minnows or leaches or small minnow type crank baits as the bottom presentation. You can also try slab spoons.
Crappie No report   Fish around any brush or vegetation you can find as well as drop-offs. Minnows or jigs are the best baits.
Channel catfish No report   Try prepared stinkbait, cut bait or liver under a bobber or on the bottom. They tend to feed on the wind blown side of the lake.
General Comments

With the warmer temperatures, fishing should begin to improve. Crappie should be moving out of the deeper water and begin to move towards the shallows.  Try for them using small jigs and minnows along the vegetation, rocks and brushpiles. Try for channel catfish using prepared stinkbait, worms or liver. Try for largemouth bass with jigs, spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Try for walleye using a jig and nightcrawler or leech combination drifted with the wind. Try for bluegill using small jigs, or a cricket or piece of worm under a bobber.

Please discard of leftover bait in a trash can, even baitfish. Remember it is illegal to release any fish into public water unless it was taken from that water!
