The field walk session will be as much like an actual hunt as possible. It is recommended to wear boots or walking shoes and long pants.

The first two hours of the class, as well as the final test/certification will be at the Church, 612 N Thompson St. Field Day activities (live fire, gun handling and trail walk) will take place at the Pratt Gun Club. 

Students must complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the field day. You will be required to participate in all portions of this class. Outdoor activities at the gun club will involve live fire (20 gauge shotguns), gun handling and a trail walk. The trail walk is a simulated hunt in typical Kansas upland bird cover. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear. You will be miserable in shorts and flip flops! Bring your own lunch, sunscreen, insect repellent, sunglasses and hat. Don't forget to bring your qualifying exam and be prepared for the 25 question pretest.
