The lake impounds approximately 40 acres and is characterized by gradual sloping shoreline, with a shallow west end. There are 25 acres of land adjoining the lake, all are open to hunting including the lake. The very small wildlife area includes the riparian zone around the lake and small patch of native grass.

Channel cat are the most popular fish, but good numbers of largemouth bass, crappie, bluegill sunfish can be found. Brushpiles have been placed in the lake for fish habitat.
