Species Rating Size Baits, Methods, and Location
Largemouth Bass Good up to 5 lbs. Spring sampling indicated a fair to good population of largemouth. The population continues to grow. The largest fish sampled was near 6lbs. 
Channel Catfish Good up to 15 lbs. The Fall gill net sample indicates a good population of channel catfish. There are many harvestable size fish in the population along with many fish larger than 6 lbs. The largest fish of the sample weighed in at just over 15 lbs.
Crappie Fair up to 14 inches Sampling efforts indicate a large population of crappie with the majority in the 6-8" range, however, larger individuals up to 14" are available.
Wipers Fair up to 5 lbs. Fall sampling indicates a fair population of wipers. Many quality sized wipers should be available from recent stockings.
       
Current fishing Opportunity      
       
Largemouth Bass Fair 8-18" Jigs or plastics around deep structure midday. Try topwater baits or spinners along water willow early and late.
Channel Catfish Good up to 12lbs. Chicken livers or prepared bait along dropoffs or windy flats. The feeders are on and go off 3 times/day morning, afternoon, and evening.
Crappie Fair up to 12" Crappie have probably moved to deeper waters along dropoffs or brush piles. Minnows will probably be best bait
Wipers Slow-Fair up to 5lbs. Shad imitations in open water or windy points, vertical jigging with spoons. Look for schools of shad and the wipers should be close.

 The lake is 1ft. low. WATER TEMP 83.

Anglers please do your part to stop the spread of aquatic nuisance species (ANS). Clean, Drain, and Dry your boat and livewell after leaving a water body and do not transfer live fish or bait between water bodies.
