Zebra mussels were verified in Winfield City Lake in December 2006. Lake users should follow recommended control practices found HERE .
Be sure to drain all equipment before leaving the lake to avoid moving veligers to other waters. THIS INCLUDES MINNOW BUCKETS AND BOAT LIVEWELLS AND BILGES!!!

|Crappie||Fair to Good||up to 12-inch||Action has been Fair to Good along the spawning banks on jigs or minnows. Look for crappie in 3 to 4 feet of water in areas protected from the largest waves.|

Walleye are showing up on the flats and can be caught on jig and crawlers or spinner rigs. Drifting a night crawler across the flats is a great technique this time of the year.
