Meade State Park News
The Park Office will be closed 12/24/14-01/04/15. We will return on January 5, 2015. Park Staff will be taking time off to celebrate the Holidays with their families. We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
2015 License sale and Campsite reservations will begin on December 15, 2014. Please call the Park office for any assistance.
Beginning October 4th, the Park Office will be closed on weekends. Office hours will be typically be 8-4, Monday-Friday. Park hours could vary due to staff availability.
Trout Season has begun and will run from November 1-April 15th.
The North Bath house is closed until mid-April. The water is shut off to the East and West Vault toilets. The only shower facilities open are located at the Office bathrooms.
The water and electricity remain on to the utility sites. We please ask that if you plan to camp during freezing temperatures that you unhook from the water hydrants.
We are now located at the new office, formerly the visitor center.
We are allowing campfires when windy conditions are not present. No campfires are permitted in Turkey Track. If windy conditions are present, no ground fires will be allowed. Please check with the office or Park Rangers. Please help do your part and help keep the trash picked up.
The lake is full and the water temperature is in the 30*'s.
Paddle boat and kayak rentals are over for the season. They will resume on Memorial Day 2015
Be sure to check the weather before coming out for your outing. Park Staff will do its best to keep everyone informed. Please call before coming out. We will do our best to monitor voice mails and emails. We are open Sunday-Tuesday and Thursday-Saturday, 8-4:00. The Park office is closed on Wednesdays. The office may be closed occasionally if staff is working in the Park or at training. The phone number to the park office is 620-873-2572.
