Students must complete the online portion of the course prior to attending the field day. The online course is accessed by links at http://kdwpt.state.ks.us/news/Services/Education/Hunter/Internet-assisted-Course. Each student will be issued a pre-test over the online materials.
All students will be tested over the Internet course material. This pre-test will be administered at the beginning of the Field Day. A passing score of 22 correct answers out of 25 questions is required to proceed with the rest of the course. Students failing to achieve the minimum score of 22 will be dismissed from the class.
The field walk session will be as much like an actual hunt as possible. It is recommended to wear boots or walking shoes and long pants.
|Instructor Notes for Students: All course work is done on line by completing the online hunter education course. The free Kansas Internet-assisted course is found at www.kdwpt.state.ks.us/news/services/Education/Hunter/Internet-assisted course. You will need to complete this online course and take a pretest at the start of the field day. Please wear long pants and shoes. The trail walk will be conducted in tall CRP grass.
