Unseasonably cold weather hasn't hampered turkey hunters. Success has been fair to good with a handful of birds harvested. Turkey season runs through May 31st.

2010 Dove Field - Wilson Wildlife Area

Sunflowers are planted to attract doves. Strips will be mowed through these sunflowers in August to shatter the heads and make the seeds more accessible to doves and other wildlife. Picture taken 6 July 2010.
