General Comments

Recent rain has resulted in a nearly full lake again.  Decaying vegetation in newly filled waters prevents adequate dissolved oxygen levels to sustain fish.  When water conditions improve and fish become available, fish stocking will commence.  While mid summer is not typically when many fish are available through our fish culture section, efforts to locate and stock largemouth bass, bluegill, and channel catfish are ongoing.

Local fishing reports depend on information from local anglers themselves. This site will be updated if a hot report is sent in. Regular weekly fishing reports will resume in March 2011.

If you would like to post a fishing report go to and post a report for Region 3 and the lake you have been fishing. You may also call the Dodge City Regional office as 620-227-8609 to make a report.

Please discard of leftover bait in a trash can, even baitfish. Remember it is illegal to release any fish into public water unless it was taken from that water!
