Perry News Letter Good to Excellent 4 pages (lots of pics) Twice a year I will be publishing a newsletter with Perry and other waters in my District. The newest issue is available now and features Perry and Leavenworth State fishing Lake. If you would like the newsletter e-mailed to you click on Perry/Leavenworth SFL newsletter and fill in the blanks.
Black Crappie Fair up to 1.0 lbs Tube jigs tipped with minnows in structure.  These fish will be schooling as the water is cooling.
Bluegill Fair-Good up to 0.5 lbs Small jig or spinner tipped with a hunk of worm around the shallow brush and weed edges.
Channel Catfish Fair-Good up to 11.0 lbs Shad sides are great this time of year, fish them shallow on the wind swept banks.  Late night fishing will produce some fish, better take a jacket.
Largemouth Bass Fair up to 3.5 lbs. Large jigs or spinners worked slow around the shallow brush and weed edges.
Walleye Fair up to 3.0 lbs. Stocked 300,000 walleye fry in April, will be several years before they are keeper size. Twisters off of the points either side of the pump house cove, fish are feeding like crazy now.  Try a little drifting on a less windy day.
Wiper Fair-Good up to 7.0 lbs. Large twisters or shad at the mouth of the cove on the east side.

I see a few of you have visited the new Facebook page.  I've been posting lots of pictures: walleye egg collection, stocking and electrofishing pictures.  Just click on this link hopefully you'll LIKE what you see!

Netted yesterday, what a lake!  Water is down a couple feet but there are some really nice fish: bluegill, black crappie, wipers, channel catfish and walleye. I put up the new pictures and I'll get some numbers up when I'm done netting.

October netting pictures, nice wipers, good crappie, catfish and bluegill! Click on Pony Creek above the fishing report and see some nice fish! We electrofished some nice fish. Click on the fish species and it will take you to the updated Fishing Forecast Data.
