Licenses and permits may be purchased in Scott County at the following vendors: Lake Scott State Park, Scott County Clerk, The Beach House, Scott County Hardware and Wild Wings Hunting.
Cabin and camping reservations may be made at: http://www.reserveamerica.com or www.kdwpt.ksoutdoors.com Camping reservations are not available throughout the off-season Oct. 1, 2014 - March 31, 2015. However, reservations may be made for the Prime Season April 1, 2-15 - September 30, 2015.
Cabin Rental Fees: $75.00 per night and / or $490.00 per week and a $14.00 reservation fee.
October 1, 2014 began our Off-Season: Daily camping fee is $7.00 per night and there is no prime fee charge throughout the off season. Circle Drive utility sites: 1 - 15 water and electric, sites 38 - 42 water, electric and sewer are available. Lakeview electric and water utility sites are also available. Lakeview utility sites do not offer 110 amp service. Reservations may be made at: http://www.reserveamerica.com or www.kdwpt.ksoutdoors.com Vehicle and camping permits are required throughout the off-season.
All shower buildings have been closed for the winter. Vault toilets are available throughout the park.
Navajo and Taos cabins: Each cabin rents for $75.00 per night with a $14.00 reservation fee. Weekends require the reservation for two nights and holiday weekends require three nights. The door entry code is the last four digits of the phone number used / listed on the reservation. Each cabin sleeps six and provide a full size bed, futon that lays down to a full size bed, a couch and a twin size murphy bed. Bedding / pillows are not provided. Both cabins have air conditioning / heating, restroom with a shower, refrigerator, stove and oven, microwave, pots, pans, dishes and silverware. The deck and patio provide a table and chairs, charcoal grill and campfire ring. Bedding and shower items are not provided. Please bring charcoal if you plan to use the grill. Pets are not allowed inside the cabins. Cabins are expected to be cleaned and trash removed prior to leaving. There will be a $50.00 charge if the cabin is not properly cleaned.
RVs and campers are not allowed at the cabin sites. One tent is allowed for household minor dependants only. A tent pad is provided on the north side of the cabins. Please do not place a tent, volleyball net, horseshoe stakes, etc. in the grass as it may damage the sprinkler system. Two vehicles are allowed per cabin location. Additional vehicles may park in the parking area by the Shelter House. Please do not park on the grass! No pets are allowed in the cabins and must be in a kennel or on a leash outside at all locations in the park including the cabins. Cabin pictures may be viewed in the photo gallery.
Circle Drive and Lakeview utility campgrounds allow one (1) camping unit or tent per campsite. One additional tent is allowed for minor dependent children at no extra cost. The tent must be accompanied with a Special Permit approved by the office, camp host or park ranger. Vehicle and camping permits may be purchased at the park office or a self pay station located at the park entrances or in the Circle Drive camp ground. Thank you!
Trout season runs November 1, 2014 - April 15, 2015. Anyone 16 and older fishing for or possessing trout are required to have a trout permit with a limit of five per day. Anglers 15 and younger may fish for trout without a permit if they adhere to a two trout per day limit. In addition, all residents 16 - 74 and non residents 16 and older must also have a valid fishing license.
REMINDER: Please pick up and properly dispose of your trash. Dumpsters are provided at several locations throughout the park. Thank you!

Lake Scott's office is located at the entrance of the Park. Weekday office hours are 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 - 4:00 pm. Office hours may vary during the off-season due to training and taking leave time.
Due to the pine tree disease recently discovered in Western Kansas firewood is not allowed to be brought into the Park with the exception of treated wood or construction scrap wood. Firewood is available at the Beach House and office provided by the Friend's Group for $5.00 per bundle. Firewood brought into the park may be confiscated and immediately burned. Thank you!
Lake Scott State Park is open year around. Fees may be paid at the park office or a self pay station. Self Pay stations are located at the office, east park entrance and the Circle Drive Campground.
We are participants of the Kansas Green Team Recycling Program. Aluminum cans may be dropped in the plastic container at the Circle Drive (utility) camp ground. Thank you for recycling!

Changes: Seniors age 65 -74 will be required to have a Fishing / Hunting license. Senior Resident licenses are offered at a discounted price: Senior Annual Fishing or Hunting license: $11.50, Annual Hunt / Fish Combo: $20.50 or a Lifetime Hunt /Fish Combo license can be purchased for $42.50. Permits and licenses are available at the park office Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Office hours may vary throughout the week due to lack of staff and/or staff training.
