LOVEWELL STATE PARK NEWS, NOTES AND HAPPENINGS!! Updated weekly.
Lovewell State Park Office hours are currently 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Thursday, 8 am to 8:30 pm Friday&Saturday; and 8 am to 6 pm on Sunday. After office hours, please utilize the self pay station for daily vehicle and campsite permits. After Hours locations for hunting/fishing license and park permit purchases: Lovewell Marina & Grill (1/2 south; 1/4 east of office); Webb's Bait & Tackle (1/2 north, 4 west, 9 south, 4 west of office). All Camping and Day Use areas and facilities are now open for the season!!

The annual Kids Fishing Derby is scheduled for Sunday June 2nd, registration is from 8 am to 12 noon at the state park office. Weigh-in will begin at 3 pm at Lovewell Marina. Lots of prizes! June 1st and 2nd is also Free Fishing Weekend for the State of Kansas. No fishing license required to fish on those two days!!

North Willow Campsites (#16-24 and #32-47 electric&water) have been added to the campsites available for online reservations. Advanced reservations (either online or through our office) can now be made for sites in Walleye Point, Cottonwood and North Willow. Make your camping cabin or utility campsite reservations through www.reserveamerica.com or by calling the state park office during business hours.

Pioneer Camping Cabin is designated as a "PET FRIENDLY" cabin. Customers who wish to bring their pets for their stay at the Pioneer Camping Cabin will need to choose the "Pet Friendly" option on the online reservation page (or request it during a telephone reservation), and pay an add'l fee of $50.00. All other cabins remain as "No Pets Allowed". Pets must be kept outside in a kennel or on a secured chain or leash.
