The Lawrence Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #2 is sponsoring a Hunter Education Course.
Registration can be done online at safehunters.com starting Sept 1, 2014.
Thursday, October 16, 2014, 5:30-9:00 p.m. at Building 21 at the Douglas County Fairgrounds AND Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge. Attendance on both days is required to pass.
Parents or guardians of young students are welcome to attend along with their child if they like.
Students must be at least 11 years old as of October 25, 2014 to enroll in the course.
All persons born after July 1, 1957 must have a Hunter Education certificate to hunt in Kansas.
When registering, please provide your full legal name and do not use nicknames. Directions to the FOP Lodge will be provided to students on the first evening of class.
Dress for the weather on October 25th, because most of the day will be outside. A lunch of hotdogs, beans and chips will be provided on October 25th for $3.00 or students are welcome to bring their own lunch if they prefer.
