WOMEN ONLY SHOOTING CLASS STILL HAS OPENINGS

Classroom presentations, Lasershot computer training, and live firing included
CHANUTE -- There are still openings for women interested in attending the May 13 Women Only Shooting Class sponsored by the Law Enforcement Division of Kansas Wildlife and Parks (KDWP). This class will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 13 at the Lil’ Toledo Lodge, Chanute. A $25 fee will cover all expenses, including firearms, ammunition, shooting goggles, hearing protection, lunch, soft drinks, and door prizes.

This class is for those who have never shot or for those who want a chance to improve their shooting abilities. Depending on the size of the class and time constraints, shotgun, high-power rifle, .22 rifle, blackpowder, pistol, and archery training may be presented.

Training will consist of classroom presentations, Lasershot computer training, and live firing. Each participant will be assigned a personal coach for safety and for individual instruction.

To participate, contact the Hunter Education Section at KDWP's Pratt Operations Office, 620-672-5911.
