Super Infectious! |
up to 3/4" |
Since the infestation was discovered in Oct. of 2007 these mussels have spread throughout the lake. It's up to all of us to make sure these are not spread to other area lakes, Clean-Drain-Dryeverything that is taken out of Perry. Mussels will be start spawning as the water temperature gets to around 54 degrees, I've collected 2 sample from May and June. |

Fish feeders are in and feeding sinking food at:7:30, 8, noon, 7 and 7:30 pm. Shad side and guts about anywhere but especially where the wind is blowing in and where the creeks are running in. Good numbers have moved shallow to spawn, glob of worms. |
Slow-Fair |
up to 3.0 lbs. |
Fish are in the feeding mood deep cranks off of those points along the west side down towards the dam. We had a great spring of collecting sauger, 5 million sauger eggs at Milford Hatchery and Saugeye production is nearly done. Collected lots of males from 14-18" and some females up to 3.0 lbs. |
Fair-Good |
up to 5.0 lbs. |
Most fish are spawning however they are several feet deeper now with the recent inflow, crank and spinner baits worked in that 2-6' of water. |
Fair |
up to 2.0 lbs. |
Electrofished a couple days this week saw a few small bunches of white bass on those rocky, wind blow banks. The water is will be muddy from top to bottom but twister or roadrunners should still produce a few fish. |
Fair-Good |

Fish with some kids in Rock Creek this week and several small crappie were caught up shallow. Work that newly flooded structure, 2-4' of water on tube jigs or minnows. |

Don't have a father's day gift yet? Just take dear old Dad out fishing and spend some time with him! We have 20 tagged fish in Perry that could be worth millions to YOU, check out the Cabela's website! New pictures of the Cablea's fish, let me know when you catch one, after you collect your prize from Cabela's! We electrofished one of the tagged fish on Friday, it looked good, might have been the big money fish. So far two tagged fish have been turned in, a largemouth bass and a crappie, don't know how much they were worth. The Corps is discharging 25 cfs which means fishing at the outlet is still good but not like it was, white bass, crappie and cats! Reservoir is about 1.5' over pool be careful lots of floating stuff out there. Stocked 60,000 sauger fingerlings, will be hitting a jig by this fall! Click on Perry Reservoir above the fishing report to look at the Tagged Cabela's fish Pictures. I'll have some bass numbers up shortly. Click on the underlined fish species and it will take you to the updated Fishing Forecast. Zebra mussels were confirmed on 10-9-07, so make sure you clean, drain and dry your boat after leaving Perry. |
