Rainbow trout have been stocked twice this winter with the most recent stocking around mid-January. We will stock one more batch of 2,500 trout around March 1st for a total of 7,500 trout stocked this winter. Anglers have their best luck fishing with Powerbait, corn, Velveeta cheese, and marshmallows on the bottom or under a bobber with small hooks and a split shot. Other anglers do well casting inline spinners, roadrunners, and small spoons. Fly fishing is another good option to catch some winter trout.
