Cross Timbers State Park is now offering rustic cabin rentals. The cabins are located on the lake in the Toronto Point area, and allow the visitor to enjoy the beauty of Toronto Lake and the surrounding Cross Timbers region. The cabins are located close to the beach area, trails, boat docks, fishing pier, and many other amenities.
The Whispering Oaks cabin is reservable year round. It is also ADA compliant. Reservations may be made up to a year in advance.
Reservations are handled on a first come, first served basis. In addition to making a reservation online, reservation requests are also accepted by telephone, mail, e-mail, and in person. Online reservations must be made at least three days in advance during the April-September park season. Otherwise, you must call the park offices. During the offseason (October-March), online reservations must be made at least five days in advance.
Cancellation or reschedule of cabin reservation 30 days or more prior to arrival date results in a refund of fees paid, except for the reservation fee. Cancellation or reschedule of cabin 29 days or less to 5 days prior to arrival date results in a refund of fees paid minus a one night rental fee and the reservation fee.Cancellation or reschedule of cabin reservation 4 days or less prior to arrival or after the arrival date will result in all fees being forfeited.
In addition to the reservation, you must have a vehicle pass. You must be 18 or older to reserve and rent the cabin. No Smoking or Pets are allowed in the cabin. This is a housekeeping cabin. Please bring your own bedding, soap, and towels.
The cabin comes with:
Bathroom/Shower, microwave, refrigerator, 2-burner cook stove, 1 full bed, bunk beds, 2 twin beds in the loft, 1 futon, table and chairs, AC/heat, outside hydrant, picnic table, fire ring with grill, 16-piece dish set with silverware, glasses, toaster, coffee pot, and limited cookware.
Check in time is 2:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 p.m. (noon)
Cabin renters are responsible for full payment of any damages incurred during their length of stay. We accept Visa, MasterCard, and personal check as payment for cabin rentals. You may contact our park office at 620-637-2213 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
