Waterfowl numbers

New ducks have arrived this past week.  Estimate 1000-1200 mixed puddle ducks.

A few hundred Canada geese and several hundred cranes in the area.

Be aware of Whooping  Cranes in the area.  A Whooping crane was reported on the wildlife area on Oct. 29th.

The Mallard Migration Rank is subjective and ranges from 0 (no mallards) to 10 (Peak Mallard Numbers)

Water level 1508.79 ft; 7.2 ft below conservation pool.  Record Low Elevation
Hunting conditions  Fair
Expected hunting success Mostly exposed shorelines due to low water.  Birds off points from Pelican point to Spillway ramp and along north side.

Cedar Creek and Elm Creek boat ramps are NOT OPEN due to low water conditions
